What is Generative AI and its limitations on society

 

So, what is Gen AI? Well, if you've ever used Chat GPT or any other AI tool that can generate images or create something based on the prompt and its instructions YOU gave it then congratulations you've just collaborated with AI. With this in mind, Gen AI can create professional written text and fascinating things with just an English Language prompt. So, what does this mean? Well, besides the need to understand English and write at it on or above an 8th grade reading comprehension level the use of AI can be restricted to students who are identified as ESL learners. This can be a major problem in countries who want to adopt Gen AI and whose citizens have a language deficiency. Not to mention, English language that is not consistently promoted as a daily form of natural social interaction Gen AI is less likely to be adopted by its citizens yet alone promoted by the country's political and opinion leaders. To effectively use AI and to maximize its ability users should be able to read, write, and comprehend on or above an 8th grade American academic level.
